From search engine point of view what would be best domain type or style to be used. Like samples like
say xx as keyword
yy company name
zz place in short

If xxyyzz.com style too long in this case can we go for

xx-yy.com
xx-yy-zz.com

Please give me suggestions.

Hey man, it doesn't really matter, would probably better for your visitors if you avoided dashes though but it doesn't really make a difference. Long domains are awesome.

just keep your domain name short and easy to remember, so that people won't enter a wrong URL.

Search engine doesn't matter the type or style of domain. You should avoid dash and should be selected wisely. It should contain the generic keyword of your website so that it will be easy to promote and to get traffic.

In most of the cases, shorter domain names are easier for visitors to remember. I agree that long versus short domain names have little or no effect on your search engine rankings. According to your example, my suggestion is xxyyzz.com is better than xx-yy-zz.com but if you are using many keyword like this example reviewsandpicturesofrollercoastersfromaroundthewor ld.com than its better you use break up the name with hyphens like reviews-and-pictures-of-rollercoasters-from-around-the-world.com because its easier to read.
