Not true. Most SEO "experts" are complete half-wits who chase the latest updates and are forever chasing their own tails (probably because their head popped out of their rectal orifice).
For somebody who understands SEARCH (not an "expertmasterguru") they know that working WITH SEARCH ENGINES and doing what is best for the users of search engines will serve them better and be less work than chasing every change that SEs make (one per day on average).
