How do I optimize my website for other search engines other than GOogle?

I think it would be better if the term SEO would be change to (USO) User Search Optimization.

That way, people won't get the misconception of optimizing sites for search engines rather that for users.

Actually only Yahoo pays a lot of attention to high backlink numbers.

And of course links are NOT optimising.

most of us are optimizing for Google SE, unknowingly I got better ranking in other SE than Google, don't know why...lol

Simple just go in for getting backlinks from quality domain of High PR, and surely you will be ranking up in other search engines as well......

same method works, but it depends on how you do it. if you rank well in Google, more than likely you will do good as well in other SE's

Most of search engines like aol, excite for powered by google so if you rank in google you may rank well in them as well.

I think do not need to optimize for other search engine because if your website is good ranking in google then you will get traffic. 90% of the web users use google.

Optimizing site for Big G, and all other search engine will enlist your site automatically, yes every search engine have different criteria but it is better to focus on Google only.....
Thou, it can take some time, and can drop your efficiency, so better submit your site to all other major search engine and conduct regular SEO process.... hopefully things will work for you...

Yeah Chris. If you are doing an optimization its not only for Google alone. It is applicable in all search engines also.

If you get good ranking in Google then i don't think to optimize for other search engines because almost 90-95% users are using Google and we are getting most of traffic from Google only..

Google is very popular than other search engine.no need to optimization for other search engine.it's waste from every side.anyway, same process of SEO for all search engine.
