with social network like facebook you will get real people in your site. that means real traffic. and thats really good for any website. and search engine are pick up any links on those networks. so its a good system. although i prefer the forums for targeted traffic. after getting lots of traffic from social network the bounce rate was too high for my site.

As per my think of view it is just an experiment but it will be use as a one of 200 fact for Google's search result.

they are just trying to get some costumer reviews and comment about their experience.
