hello folks. I just want to ask about your opinions/ideas if what matters most on getting to high PR or traffic to website. Is it the quality of your backlinks or its quantity? Coz I notice that there are sites that have a thousand of backlinks but less quality and it ranks well?

Traffic > PR (useless number like Alexa rank).

Quality > Quantity.

You'd probably be better served by taking a close look at the sites that top the rankings but have less links (in both quality and quantity), and less PR than their competitors. This applies to homepages as well as interior pages/posts...and the website as a whole.

I will always choose quality instead of quantity. Depends on the competition on the niche of the site reviewed by you.

Traffic matters more than anything. You could, in theory, have a PR10 site that gets zero traffic.

As for backlinks, it's something that's quite difficult to quantify. From my personal experience, getting featured, for example, on a high-ranking blog with 1 decent link does much more for our rankings than submitting to 100 directories.

Sure, quality is the important thing. One quality backlinks is better than getting 100 low quality backlinks.

quality of-course. that site might have spent so much time to generate that thousands of low quality links but you can get better result by spending less time on quality sites

Obviously Quality is best comparison to quantity. You need to quality on your work quality back link make a better support for your website.

Probably yes if you want to rank eCommerce website and don't have any option to add content in it.

I think most of us prefer quality than quantity. If there is both quality and quantity is excellent.

It is always a debate in forums. For how many years I've been a SEO. Quality always wins over quantity but isn't great to combine both? It is better to hear that we are doing quality work with high quantity?
