I have gone through lots of seo from books to movies to internet searches and have never quite figured this out. Please see if you can answer this million dollar question, maybe it is simpler than i think.
Scenario
I own a hotel in the middle of new york city, (haha I wish), the hotel is called "the rat trap" I would like to use the keyword of Accommodation.
I also own a hotel in Brooklyn called "the dog" and I would also like to target the keyword accommodation.
So a person in New york city types into google accommodation, they should see "the rat trap" number 1 in a perfect world.
If a person in Brooklyn types in the same search of accommodation, will it show my hotel or a hotel in Brooklyn they should see "the dog" in a perfect world
if a person in china types in accommodation they should see the hotels in their area.
if a person in China types in accommodation new york city, they should see "the rat trap"
Am I mad, or is this correct, if so how does google distinguish between 2 cities like new york and brooklyn, should the keyword i target be accommodation new york, or just accommodation.
If it is "accommodation new york", then would the hotels restaurant be "restaurant new york" and the shop in the hotels keyword would be shop new york, so every keyword has new york after it.
I know it sounds silly but I never really figured out a direct answer to this.
