You can try opensiteexplorer from seomoz and see what anchor text you competitors use. Then go and see if they rank on first page for those.

Get a paid member ship and you will be able to track your compititors keywords

If you are looking for a free tool then you should try Alexa

Just check Alexa for your competitors domain and see the terms they rank well for as well as the keywords "impact".

i checked alexa but i was not much satisfied with its result even than after i tried for my own site but i was surprised that on which good keyword my site is on top there was not a single keyword in that list probably alexa is showing that keyword from which your site is getting more traffic like your site name and that type. i want such type of tool which shows all that keyword on which my competitor website ranking on top anyways thank you for your reply

Hey Steve, I use this tool called ‘Keyword Country’ to find and rip my rivals’ most profitable keywords. It’s a paid tool but you may try with the free version. I am sure you gonna find it worth it!

Yes Use opensite explorer and yahoo site explorer from which you can get your competitors' backlinks and find their targeted keywords easily. Also use Google Keyword analysis to know about the high competitor and low competitor keywords easily
