I do not understand your question.. I guess you can make a 301 redirect.

<code>RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^site.com$
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.site.com/$1 [R=301,L]</code>

Assuming of course that your site is hosted on an Apache server. AND you want the "www" version to be the one to be indexed.

.htaccess does not require access to server, you can use FTP

By using 301 (permanent redirection) you can fix the canonical error. A simple 301 redirect that redirects an old page to a new page for example to redirect your desired version Open your .htaccess file in a text editor (like Notepad) and add the following code: say for an example

<code>RewriteEngine On
Redirect 301 /old-seo.htm http://www.seo-consultant-services.co.uk/new-seo.php</code>

<code></code>
<code>or download .htaccess file and edit your notes.
</code>

1. The easiest with 301 redirect in .htaccess
2. Paying attention all incoming links to your site have the same URL structure
3. Internal links have the same URL structure if you use absolute URLs.
4. Creating and submitting *.xml sitemap through webmaster panels (Google, Bing)
5. Creating and placing regular sitemap (html, hph, asp etc,) on home page or even all pages of your site – could be aslo an additional navigation benefit for your visitor, not only for SE spiders.
