The problem is, you are creating the backlinks. A more efficient use of your time would be creating things that other people want to link to.
When other people chose to link to your site, you get organic traffic. The traffic will be high quality because people coming in will have some context and know why they are visiting.
Also, you won't be so dependent upon search engines. Though, the search indexes will rank you higher anyway. For proof, look at all of the folks who recommend time wasters like blog/forum posting, article sites, directories, etc... They work at it constantly, they make the web a worse place; yet, receive very little traffic, and of that, very little quality traffic. |
