I use pr sites to submit current news about my industry, 1 unique article per submission.

I have seen a competitor is submitting the same article to many many pr sites. Is that not duplicate content or is it allowed with press release?

Yes you should submit your press releases to as many PR sites as possible. This is not considered duplicate copy because it's a press release and not article marketing.

When you submit a Press Release to PRWeb, PRNewsWire, PRLog, etc. that press release gets picked up and republished by other media sites in their distribution networks. If your Press Release contains links pointing to your site and it's picked up and published on an authoritative news site, you can get a lift in traffic and and sometimes even rankings as a result.

But over the years (and especially with Panda) Google has gotten really good at figuring out that they have seen a particular piece of content (like your PR) over and over on various sites on the web. Those links are likely greatly devalued or even not counted at all in a lot of cases. But a great PR can still drive traffic or make other sites write about and link to your site.

Bottom line, do it as Chris said for the Marketing benefits... don't expect any SEO lift from it. If you get a lift, great... if not then hopefully it still drove some traffic, got others talking about your site and possibly dropping a link to you, etc.

I would advise create one Press-Release for one Press-Release site, let them be topic-related, but written by different words. Make at least 3-4 different unique copies of you press-releases.
Also I found in one forum a link to pressequalizer com website. Does anybody here use this service?

Do you mean different OR unique.

They can be two different things.

Ok chrishirst, I understand you.
There are actually two ways:
Place DIFFERENT press releases (different informational newsbrake), but it may be problematic
Place UNIQUE press releases (write about one and the same informational newsbrake but make each press release a unique one)

But it sounds like you have no idea what a "press release" is for.

They only need to be "different" when you are targeting them at different demographics.

Anyway, this thread is timely for me. Can you advise where do you usually publish your press-releases?

Sure! If you have written it well and targeted it correctly it should bring pre-qualified traffic to whatever you are announcing.

Hi,
Yups.. Obliviously, you can submit your PR in bulk at many sites.. There is no restriction, but avoid to submit the same content at the same site.

Press release marketing is the ideal solution for companies small and large. It cuts through the noise of the online apple and places your bulletin on the a lot of able sites online. Hopefully, you apprehend how contemporary you absolutely are now. With a columnist release, you can usually select specific categories. Each category is mapped to news sites that are relevant to the niche that you are in.

I don't find Press Releases are useful unless it is published in any news portal.
