I wanted to ask to see if many of you guys run local businesses and how you treat local seo and online advertising.

Local SEO is somewhat different to normal optimization. I would love to hear people's thoughts and personal experiences.

Google has just launch adwords express which allows local business easy access to online avertising. Here is the video about it:

Local SEO was just hit really hard by the latest Google change. Check out the Google blog for more info.

Local SEO did get hit hard by Google. I have 1 site that took a major hit and it was a legitimate local site.

I inquired about what was happening and since the latest update, my site has improved a little in ranking but I'm still wondering why this has happened.
