Altavista hasn't been a search engine since 2004, and last year Yahoo!, who own Altavista anounced they were CLOSING it down, which commenced in May this year (2011)

When you are posting replies at least do some research instead of dumping the first thing that come to mind.

Altavista only indexes sites of PR 6 and above. Get some .edu backlinks (must be dofollow).

And a time machine.
