Well if you have time for this website then do offpage optimization like directory submission, article submission, rss submission, blog commenting, forum participation, press release submission, search engine submission, classifieds etc. otherwise the final solution is to hire a good professional seo company or firm.

Surely! You can improve the ranking of your website by building quality backlinks; backlinks with do follow attribute, high PR, relevant to your niche etc. Also focus on keeping the content of your site more unique and informative.
