DoFollow is simply an internet slang term given to web pages or sites that are not utilizing "NoFollow." NoFollow is a hyperlink value that tells search engines not to pass on any credibility or influence to an outbound link. Originally created to help the blogging community reduce the number of inserted links into a "comment" area of a blog page, the attribute is typically standard in blog comments. It helps overwhelmed webmasters disallow spammers from gaining any kind of advantage by inserting an unwanted link on a popular page.

Looks like we got us some comment spammers using spinners, using "dofollow" as a search term.
Dear Lord, how repulsively blatant and uncreative.

Scraper, followed by a spinner in the first case. This response is all over the 'net. What wonderful expertise this new supposed business focus is attracting!

Do Follow puts No Restrictions on the Search Engine Robots from following links on your page, either to other internal pages on your site, or to other web sites.

If a website has a link of your website, search engines recognize it as a reference, and if the link is dofollow it means the website which has shared your link trusts your website and is refering your website to search engines..
But if a nofollow tag is added, it means the website which has shared the link is telling the earch engine crawlers that it does not recommend your site..

Completely wrong. A no follow is not a tag, and if a link does not have a no follow, it makes it a link. Not a do follow.

Having to make these kind if statements is like "beating your head against a wall". I'm glad it was you this time and not me. I've decided to no longer to participate in so-called "dofollow" threads.

If someone is wrong on somthing, I'll try and call them on it every time. It's pointless because 90% of posts on this site are spam, but it could help someone else reading. Who knows?

Well, the point of the thread WAS to make it painfully obvious to the powers that be that words like "dofollow" and "scraper" need to be filtered because that's ALL they attract is spam.
But right now it would appear that the powers that be do not intend to have any active part in this site now that Shey has left for decidedly greener pastures.

DoFollow defines links that are not modified with the "NoFollow" attribute. Learn more about what they mean for your backlinking campaign, and why they're important for ranking websites in general.

Dofollow Link is a hyperlink that is able to tell all search engines to pass along it’s page rank influence to an outbound link.
If you will use or get do follow links then search engines will count your link in the eyes of google, yahoo, bing etc as backlink for your site and you can get some positive value for your site ranking.
Example,
Dofollow Link= < a href=”ulr”>

*facepalm*
Where do I begin?
Irony. Pure irony. The more I mention that this thread was created to draw out the festering heap of "experts" with their fetid, moronic, false "advice", the more they all come to post same here. But I said it would happen in the first post.

“Do follow” links are the commands to search engine robots to follow that link for spiders crawling process. “No follow” links are also the command for search engine crawlers, it can say “Do not follow this specific link” from linking page.

According to me, Do follow links are the sites which are crawling from their sites from other. So it helps to get back links from that and advertise of your product or service on that sites.
