Hello Friends,
I have been working on one of the SEO project from past few months and by working consistently on this I had achieved my first target that is to bring all the keywords on top ten position but now I am focusing to bring these in top 5 position and some of the techniques which I am using are directory submission, social bookmarking, forum posting, blogging, article submission etc., Still by using all these techniques the keywords are not yet stable on their position for example one of the keyword was on position 4 and now it has dropped down to position 7. Please suggest some techniques which can be helpful to bring all the keywords in top 5 positions and make them stable.

You cannot make "rankings" stable.

What you depends on which server, in which cluster, in which datacentre answer you query.

It could be a different one each time.

Checking rankings hasn't been a useful pastime wince 2004

Christirst says right that you can not make ranking stable but you could use to guest blogging and contextual link building for this.

Keywords can't be in a stable position, because each and every minute the search for a particular keyword differs from one user to another, so try to focus on high priority keywords and optimize for those. In short frequently perform keyword analysis.

Start forums posting with signature and i m sure that it will help you a lot

Your keywords ranking is not stable it means your are lacking in some case from your competitor.You need to perform best work from your all competitors.You should take care of quality content too with quality link building.When you will create quality backlinks from your competitor that day you will get top position in google.

I think you are still using the same resources of articles, forums, directories etc. which you used to bring rankings in top 10. Google has already counted links from them. So, now you should search for some new directories, forums, article sites and build back links from them.

Make sure that you perform seo activities on sites which are having high PR which results in producing high trafffic to your site. In this way you might be able to achieve your target.

I checked keywords daily for our top keywords and do also analyze our competitors on a daily basis.

What about traffic? Did your traffic drop as well? I would focus more on traffic (conversion rates/sales) than rankings. Cause other users may be seeing your site at position 3, for example, while you may be seeing it at position 8. This is how Google functions nowadays.

Agree. There are times, actually lot of times that your rankings will change. Upside down. All you need to be consistent is your SEO.
