In SEO, you can built your career and future will be bright but in SEO most of people are not sure about the concept, we work on basis of experience and experiments because we don't have the idea of Google's ranking algorithm and they very with time so whoever will update with new techniques and skill, he/she will stay in this field.

Like it or not I think the future of SEO at least for most areas where Google is king is quality content. With all the penalization Google is dishing out these days for over optimization I think this is where they are forcing people. I also think that more and more negative SEO services are going to pop up.

i got an experience and i really wish everybody go and try it. because once the odd company's offer that i got makes me on of best friends to a that company. they are doing domains optimizations very well because they are specialized in this field. and know i'm trying to get them so clients to earn more money. money always smells good.

I'm sorry but no one knows about the future. However, I don't think search engines will be gone in the next 10 or 20 years. SEO will be around for as long as SEs are live.
