well my web site gets updated some time every 2 days or 1 a weak i have even been updated daily at one point

what it is i dont think they have a set amount of time i think it depends on how much trafic you get to your website i get alot so that could be why mine gets updated so often

if your website is the one in your sig then its just been updated

i little trick is install the alexa toolbar yes it contains two spywares but this will help i use it for this reson as Alexa get info on your website

I wouldn't take Alexa to seriously. It is extremely easy to circumvent that system. I can purchase a website today and have it within 100K within 30 days.

I understand aside from PR and Alexa what else to you gauge the site by... But all I am saying is do not hold it as your number one factor.

Instead track the visitors your self and furthermore and more importantly track them to see if they are turning into sales and develop a visitor to sale ratio.

It is generally considered that a website with an Alexa rating of 100,000 or less is receiving a reasonable level of traffic but Alexa can be widely misleading and very easily manipulated. Alexa has a free toolbar that you can download and install at your Internet browser and that reports back to Alexa with the details of every single website that you visit.

LOL getting a very bussy website can be done in a number of ways and all the ways except one is lots of hard work

the easy way is

1. pay for lots of traffic to your website

the hard ways are

1. get you website as close to page one number one in search engines like google .co.uk .com and msn.co.uk .com for your main keywords

this takes time and lots of SEO and looking at other things i have my website at 1 page 1 on msn.co.uk and some keywords for msn.com hopfully in a couple of weaks i will be on page one in google

2. advertising some cost some dont thats up to you but this can also take time

there is alot more but that would give things away

im at 493,542 with Alexa and will go lower and closer to 100k but that isnt a intrest to me

WHY???

well this is why if you take care of the main things like getting up there in google, msn and yahoo etc etc

then the Alexa rank will take care of its self that is just like an extra bonus to you work the lower that number gets meens to you, that you must be doing something right as you are getting more traffic to your site

BUT remember traffic isnt everything the thing you want is some one to go on your website and come back not pop on for somany sec's and go again never to return

1. Website content should be optimized with right keywords used to get high search engine ranking. It includes in SEO concept.
2. You should add your site link to good and relevant directories as many as you can.
3. You should also give away your articles through free content websites like ezinearticles.com, freesticky.com.
4. Word-of-mouth publicity is a great tool for promotion of your site and get high and good quality traffic.
