Hello
I wonder, if these SEO tools like http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0....g=srch&qt=seo& . are actually working? Or you know some what are working for real ? How and when i can be sore they actually did work? Can i mess something up bad if i run may of them?

I got assignment, to register 10/20 words in certain search motors(like yahoo, google, msn, aol), what should i do? Can just download some “i will submit your site to 400 search motors” software and all is done? But... why some sites ask hundreds of dollars for submitting your site if it can be done easily, maybe adding just some line of code to the web pages and running the program, etc?

Is there a other trick i could use to get better search result? Like adding hidden links to famous websites, so the google motor will look that i link to high ranking sites and make my rank better?

Most i would need that if someone will write (for example) “Baltic trade centre” in search motor, that certain website would be first (there is no other sites like that), even thought the website only key words are “bla bla bla” the site does not come up when ya search bla bla bla in any motor, after couple of years. Instead you see sites “bla lalala bla hahha bla “

What should i do?

Thank you so much for answering any of my questions

No software can optimise your site.

Submitting to any number of search engines won't help

No, there are no tricks (that work) for SEO

start reading the Tips for new seos at HighRankings to give you a start in learning how to optimise.

Yup, search engines are used more often because they provide relevent results. If you can trick a search engine to post your site higher, they are not providing relevent results.

So it takes hard work, and honest methods of increasing your rankings.

Look into creating a blog, rss feeds, and articles

Google has the best one because they use their own search spyder, but SEO is generally a fraud thing, becareful. there really isnt anyway to guarantee yourr site in top spots. tags can only do so much. but that is your best bet. Make a tag detailed to the specific search strings you want to have your site searched for

I wouldn't say SEO is a fraud thing!

It is more of a technique of making sure Search Engines see the revelence of your site. If you try and trick search engines into finding your sites, eventually it will catch up to you.

However if you simply "optimize" your site for search engines, you are just aiding in the relevence... andit is more than just one tag detailed to search strings.

There is keyword density, specific titles, descriptions, proper mark-up (using the Header tags), etc

In reality a website with good copy and programming should have those elements anyways, however sometimes people don't even realize it.

For example, I am optimizing a heating & cooling website in Ann Arbor Michigan. The front page originally mentioned Ann Arbor once, and heating & cooling maybe twice.

People had to search for where the company is located and what they do.
