What are some elements one should you consider when bidding an SEO/marketing job?

Here's a few that I came up with.

1. Difficulty
2. Time
3. What's it worth to the client? (How important is the job?)

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

Buck

I have an hourly rate, then I estimate how long it will take me to get the job done.

The more difficult the task, the higher your rate should go (specialization, paying for your knowledge).

They should pay you for time. What it's worth to the client and difficulty shouldn't matter. Just your time matters...and results. If it's difficult, it takes more time...get my point?

I wouldn't say if it is difficult it takes more time necissarily.

The more you do something the quicker you get at it, does that mean the better you get the less you should charge?

Instead you have to think of an hourly rate that fits your abilities, time spent learning/obtaining skills, etc

If you are excellent at submitting articles, and can submit an article to 100 sites in two hours, you shouldn't charge $40 for 100 backlinks... it should be more along the lines of $200 - $300 because of your expertise.
