The idea behind poison keywords is that using those words on your page will drop it in the results pages. Usually poison keywords are associated with words you'd find on adult sites.
It's really just a myth and you can easily prove it by typing the word 'forum' in any search engine. Most of the results will probably have the word 'forum' in the title of the page and on the page itself. If the word were truly poison then none of those sites should be showing in the results.
There are words that are so common that search engines won't even use them when pulling results. Words like 'the' 'a' etc. are considered stop words They're obviously so common that there's no point in using those words to determine the relevance of the results. But it's also obvious that using them won't get you in trouble. I'm guessing someone took the concept of stop words and created the poison word myth.

That's what I meant by an adult site. I think the search engines are also going to be cautious when it comes to anything that might be close to the line of what might or might not be porn. An adult site may not be porn, but it might use a lot of the same words on its site.
I'm not saying that's how it should or shouldn't be, just how it is.

Yeah I wouldn't worry especially if you're doing well. I think the whole idea of poison keywords is more a myth than anything else. I just thing the porn industry is where the myth started given that there are people who would want to have certain words filtered and that often those same words were used as keyword spam given how popular they are in searches.
I looked at your site and while it's obviously of an adult nature it's hardly anything I would consider as porn. I suppose the site may get blocked if someone had certain filters turned on, but if they did those people probably wouldn't be in your marekt anyway.
