Well, I'm actually running my own template business, it's not as good as TemplateMonster.com but still, if I can make it to 100 sales/month, I'd be happy.

Here's the point: I already have 3/10 Google Page rank. 12 Backlinks, but my traffic is low, low and low. I'm not really good at seo yet, but I need some advices what I need to do. My main aim is Google.

I know article posting is very good. I'm going to start that soon. But are there any other ways or suggestions?

Do I use too many keywords, or what?

I would appreciate your help.

Sadly the truth is the template market is very oversaturated and there's a lot of competition out there so it will more than likely will come down to your backlinks. 12 is not going to be anywhere near enough. It will probably need to be more like 1200 or even 12000.

My best suggestion would be to optimize your site for less competitive keywords at first while you build links. As you get more and more backlinks you can optimize some pages for more generic keywords.

It looks like you're putting a lot of seo into your meta keywords at the moment. Meta keywords have become pretty meaningless. It's ok to have them, but they're not going to do much to help. Instead I'd concentrate on writing better page titles and also make more use of keyword rich headings.

It really think it will come down to backlinks though given the market.

Okay, so how do I generate backlinks? Directory submissions + writing articles?

Both are a start. Ideally you would have content on your site that people would want to link to naturally. So maybe some articles on your site as well. Maybe even some free templates that contain a link back to your site as a requirement for using them.

I agree, I think a few good free templates would go a long way. People then would start surfing to use those, and then maybe see a few pay templates that look like a good deal.

You could also look into writing a few articles about how to distinguish between good CSS based templates to bad table based ones, and whatnot...

Among other things you need to think about getting one way links. Directory submission is what now consider a must for seo. It is a long term investment. Try to list your sites as many directoires as possible say 300+ directories having pr4+.

1. build up you backlinks
2. optimize your site
3. do email blasts, you can use yahoo or google groups
4. do a little ppc
5. write article related to your niche.

12 backlinks is to little to get a lot of visitors on your site.
Try to get more backlinks. If the sites, which link to you, is good (have good PR and large number of visitors), you'll get not only PR, but more traffic.
Optimization of your site, nice design and content can also help you.
