Hi all, I am very confused in google PR therory. I couldn't understood that what are those factor which were play an important role to giving PR. I would like to ask to all of forum members.If anybody knows please share with me or us.

Pretty simple really.
PR is based on the amount and quality of backlinks.

I just posted a separate thread on this... but how is it that I have 1500 links on google, my competitor has 400, and I have a lower page rank. I don't get it

maybe all your backlinks are crap or maybe it's because Google doesn't return all the links indexed or maybe the toolbar display is inaccurate

Not that toolbar PR matters in the slightest

Laura one good link can mean more than a lot of poor links. In a simple case if all your competitor's links come from PR10 sites and all of yours come from PR0 sites then their pagerank will be greater than yours.

The algorithm Google uses to determine the PR of a given page is based more than just on the quantity of backlinks. It's also based on the PR of the page sending the link, how many other links are on that page, etc. Depending on where you got your links from they may also have no weight at all.

Hi voting system mean if our site listed in high PR dir or site, so we have go high voting and if our site is listed in low PR dir or site in comparison of our site then we have got low voting. This is according to google.I am not sure but I have heard that.. Please let me know clearification.

You are a little confused I think

Google uses links to your site as if they were a "vote of confidence" for the site. This system however has been devalued somewhat recently as it is easily abused by the "links are everything" attitude.

A link from a high PR page is likely to increase your PR more than a link from a low PR page. Your PR has an influence on how high you rank in google. Nobody but google knows how big that influence is, but having a high PR is not as important as it used to be.
