hey guys! Need a little help, one of my site which is http://www.dvdcraze.tv got a backlinks of 0(zero) from google. I was wondering if my site have been penalized.. . could you check it out and tell me what the problem is? i really need an advise right now... thanks

How long has the site been up?

been working it for 6 months.

you might have got your backlinks sinse the last update, In which case they wont show up untill the next update.

Backlinks update usually just before a pR update, which is usually every four months, Nobody knows exactlly when.

and apart from that the link:command doesn't show anything remotely useful

I checked in Yahoo (http://uk.search.yahoo.com/search?ei...ab-web-t-1&b=1)
as it shows more backlinks than Google even though they probably have the same ones. I saw that you didn't get any backlinks from directories. They're most from forums about DVDs (which is not bad), but I'd open the range of inbound links and directories is a free good source for that.

Keep in mind that Google never shows all the backlinks it knows about. It only shows a random sampling. Yahoo will probably give you a better count of your backlinks. Bit Google does know about them even if they're not showing you that they do.

You'll probably find Google showing more backlinks after the next update, but again they'll never show all they know about.
