They say Content is king, I think relevancy is queen, and link popularity is the Prince.

Everybody before you waste a bunch of time, google may penalize you for link backs, and your rankings never going up I found out why.

While I tried to get hundreds of sites to link back to me I never went up in ranks like I hoped but dslwebserver only had less then 60 I think in Yahoo and they rank better the me but something interesting happened. I saw over 900 links to dslwebserver that were in the domain. So why is it that the more content/information you have the better the ranks but with high link popularity you keep struggling and hardly get anywhere.

It's not the link popularity, I mean maybe it's to prevent Google spamming but maybe the most important in rankings is lots of Information. Heck DMOZ Forums said about having lots of information too. That's the true non spamming SEO.

So say if I had 100 pages that had relevant information maybe I will go up in rank.

Also link popularity can help the spammers because all they have to do is link popularity and never work on their information. I think the most important is information, relevancy, and enough link popularity to keep you from getting banned.

Really though link popularity did help me some but not after a certain point. It's like a puzzle. What do I do after link popularity and keyword tuning. I should make more relevant (non spammy) information to impress Google because that was the whole point of a search engine. Do you really think the whole point is to get businesses big NO! It was to organize information, and bring us the best on the first page of our search results. To bring us high quality results not the load grade stuff like drugs, and spam. Information is powerful

I'm not sure what you mean by the "true and honest" way to rank high, but I agree with you that content is the most important thing. You can still rank highly without it though.

Well, I object to your theory in some aspects because Pagerank is only dependent on links and link quality and not content. Its written so in my blog. The post is an extract from the original written by Larry and Sergey(Founders of google). I think even if google judges content quality, Pagerank doesnt have anything to do with it.

I object because if all you need was link popularity and quality then why do sites that are on the top are going down in rank after a SSGU "Stop Spam Google Update" (you know bigdaddy, jaggar, and more). When Hyipo gets big because of more information I will prove you wrong. Quality Keyword density is have lots of non spamming pages with the keywords it needs. Just relevant information and tons of it alone can give you a better rank.

Link popularity sucks. I have to have money. DMOZ, and all high ranking sites like DMOZ either want to be lobbyed, or want to charge. High ranking sites Suckz (sorry no offensive i'm just mad at DMOZ, Yahoo Directory). Heck I was even told I had to have tons of information to be accepted at DMOZ. So information is important not submiting to sites.

I submited to over 100, or 200 and never went up in rank at all. I mostly tried to submit to maybe 3,4,5 or over ranking directories and never went up not even just 1.

I stay away from FFAs, Spam sites, Email spamming so spamming is not the case

Also someone said when they kept adding to their blog they could get a higher rank. That's more information that got them better ranking.

Also another technique someone said was to get better rank by having a page unrelated to the site and talk about it and their rank goes up.

That makes more since. Any Spammer can have allies and get big with Link Popularity. More information means more people can find what they need instead of sites that charge money, or misrelevant sites.

Also one more thing why DMOZ could be big. They have over 500,000 categories a goldmine of information for Google. Almost or all pages have the ODP, or DMOZ word in it that's relevant.

It's like whatever site has the most relevant and most information ranks high

Can you object to that?

Quick question: Besides content, what else should I focus on in order to high rankings? Do you know if all the other SEs like Yahoo work like Google?
