Hi im just wondering does any one have any tips for free high PR backlinks e.g PR5+ This would be a great help for me.

My site is new its Greenlush website design

If there was a place to get such links, everyone would get them there and they would have no value. Though they already have no value since pagerank became not the most important factor in serps sorting.

Actually, Pagerank has a lot value if u look into the crawling aspect. If u have more pagerank, ull get more crawls. Well, as far I know, u can get free high quality links from Dmoz and other directories. You can also get good links frm posting in high ranked forums. U can do link exchange. But, I'm not sure about link exchange bcuz as per google's algorithm, link exchange has no value(i'm not sure, ok ?). Well, in other search engines like Yahoo!, MSN and all, this doesnt matter. But, if you get into one search engine u might get inot the others. But, if you get into google, the world of search engines will know bcuz many of those search engines directly or indirectly depend on google for thier index. For example, I got a news recently that Yahoo! will be depending on google search pages for some time now and all. Search Engines are all cross affiliated . But, I think I'm about 2451 light years frm the topic in discussion

Classic case of making an assumption based on a false premise.

Actually, chris, I didnt know. I'm really mislead aint I ? I heard this info frm some ebook on SEO. Its really unfortunate on thier part. So, where can I get a precise definition(not the official "The structure of a hyper texua...." bcuz I've already read it).

The more links you have the more often you should get crawled. But it's nothing to do with PR, It's just some people have a hard time understanding cause and effect.

They think "Well if backlinks are good, and backlinks cause PR, That must mean PR is also good" When in reality the important things about backlinks are whether the site linking to you is related to yours and the anchor text used in those links, Two things that PR completely ignors, PR is only concernerd with the amount of links you have and the PR of the pages linking to you.

Actually, you may not find free link on high pr sites. However, you can purchase links on them. Some sites are selling very cheap link on their sites. It is recommended that you should not go on high pr sites ... as your site is new.... rather first exchange link with 10-15 sites which have pr3-5. that will give your site quick pr....

Links are probably the most misunderstood aspect of SEO and ironicly the most written about.

Yahoo is often more weighted by sheer volume of links than Google, but you rarely get any "expert" saying that you need more links to rank in Yahoo.

The major factor about links and ranking for any phrase is the anchor text and because of the way that the Google algo treats linking text, you can gain some "brownie points" if the on page elements on the target page reinforce the anchor text.

The basis of SEO is not about following an exact formula, it's about getting more things "right" than the competition.

High PR backlink costs much,but you can get free, not so high PR backlinks from hundreds free directories. Take a look to directorycritic.com, there is a list of hundreds of them. When I started my first site, I submitted it to more than 300 free directories and after 4 months my site has PR3.
Just my 2 cents.

you can purchase links from services like TLA, text link brokers, link worth etc, but like the above posters i'd also recommend that you start out by getting links from free directories.

Find som related blogs and start posting comments on them.
Write to owners of wordpress blogs and offer hem $10 for a permanent link to your site write to a lot of them and my experience is 10% of them fall prey and offer you a link as they dont even know what the value of hier links could be if sold at the right places

One more way is to submit to free directories may be pay some one to submit to 500 directories or so and keep building atleast one new link per week to the pages you want promoted and that will do the trick.

Too lazy to do all this? Open up a wordpress blog on www.wordpress.com and use some good tags which are not used by many and you will automatically get some pr6-7 links but you need to constantly update your blogs to get your link displayed on page one on those tag pages to get some god pr passed on
