Hi all.

Our site used to have a very good ranking in both google.com. and .co.uk, but now we have dropped completely from google.co.uk under a popluar search word,(gears) though we are still very high (unchanged ) in google.com.
Our site is UK based, and we have been established for a long enough time.
The other odd thing is that we are ranked no:11 under the "gears", in all uk google datacentres (the ones that I have checked anyway) but not when I use the main google.co.uk , we are no where to be seen.
can some one please shed a light on this mystery.

Search Engines are a dynamic environment. When you said your site's ranking has dropped, it evident that there are other sites (possibly new) with better popularity and optimization than yours. It may help to see why the other sites rank better in SERPS than yours. More content? Better keyword/phrase optimization? More backlinks? Can be anything....

Hi Thanks your the reply.
I am well aware of those factors, but we used to be number one for a very competitive word to now we have gone to page number 44.
I can understand dropping afew places nut something like 440 places?
Why does the datacentres for uk show us at top of page 2?
Its all baffling to me.

I've got exactly same problem with a site that ranks no.1 in google.com and was no.1 in google.co.uk. From today the site has dropped from google.co.uk yet is still no.1 in google.com.

Did you ever find out why this happened to your site?
