first i want to know exactly what is the rss and why we need rss feed on our website. if i have a rss feed on my website then how it is benefical to me. and how to promote it on the web and benefits by promoting it.

An RSS feed, (Really Simple Syndication), is a way you can further distribute your content. Someone can subscribe to your feed with a RSS reader. Depending on your feed setup, they can get the latest news, articles, tutorials, links, forum posts, anything you want.

RSS feeds can but viewed on a ton of sites, you can also view feeds in gmail.

People can also put your RSS feed on their website, promoting your content.
