Well getting indexed in Google doesn't gives you PR. PR is all about getting lots of quality links if you have lots of quality links then you would hve a good PR.
Can take from atleast 3 months to 6 months to have any PR regardless of being indexed, and ofcourse get some quality PR one way links to your site in the meantime, this may help the process a little quicker
Everything said above is true -
PR is typically a factor of two things:
1. The age of your site
2. The number of IMPORTANT inbound links (ie High PR links) coming to your site

Get those two things going, and you'll have PR.
Not quite.
The age of the site makes no difference directly for PR Only links create PR.
You are mixing up cause and effect
Links = PR
Age = More Links
Age != PR
