I found this link on a yahoo search. I own webpositiongold and this upsets me. I do know that google doesnt like the scheduled submit. I do the slow submit. Does this still mean I could get banned?

yahoo search:

I can't see the link, but I can see the problem with WebPosition Gold. Unfortunately, what you have done is taken your $150-to-$400 and flushed it straight down the toilet. And for you newcomers out there to the SEO game or people who just want to learn something, here's why:

1) Automated software goes against search engine guidelines due to the way in which it is abused and misused more often than not.

And the important part (in the Guidelines section...I bolded the one sentence):
Quote:
Don't use unauthorized computer programs to submit pages, check rankings, etc. Such programs consume computing resources and violate our Terms of Service. Google does not recommend the use of products such as WebPosition Gold™ that send automatic or programmatic queries to Google.
Yahoo! and MSN have similar policies.

2) Submission no longer works. Automated, manual, one-time, monthly, it's a red herring. If you want to get indexed and ranked, you need to get your site's hyperlink on other sites (e.g. a forum signature or the Website field in your profile.)

3) SEO isn't just about keywords and density and whether to use this meta tag or that meta tag. It's about solid design. It's about making sure the user can get to the important stuff on your site in 3 clicks or less (since a search engine spider will make the same 3 jumps or less). It's about making sure your users are happy and letting the SEO occur organically.

Sorry, victoriavain, but someone had to tell you this. And the sooner you accept it, the better off you're gonna be.

a friend tried to be smart and used webposition for his new site. Its been six months now and the site hasnt been indexed. I've asked him to write a reinclusion request. The reinclusion process may itself take another six months or so.
