I registered the domain http://daily.12b.se/ and a lot of directories refuses to let me register because the use of a sub domain. I mean, "www" is also a sub domain but obviously treated differently. Does anyone know the effect of using a sub domain regarding directories, page ranks etc?

I think www can be used as subdomain as well.
So anysite.com and www.anysite.com can have different pages/folders as default.

Directores dont like subdomains because people sometimes create hundreds of subdomains and try to submit them all. They reject subdomains the same as they reject deep linking url's.
