Well, this might seem to be a pretty silly question as I've been seeing this question in webmaster-talk for more than six months. But, you see, I've read all the tutorials I can find titled with "How to get quick and unique traffic" and "How to get quick and quality links". Let me say something. Most of them are untrue. They wont help. I had personal experience. So, can anyone of you tell me a way to get some traffic to my site ? I only get some 5 uniques a day. Pls tell me.

Getting links to your site on pages that are related to yours, and that get lots of traffic themselves would probably help.

So would getting your pages ranked highly for terms that have high search counts.

Well getting link requires a good link building campaign but if you are looking for immediate targetted tarffic then you can use Adwords or Overture.

One of two things will solve your problem -

1. Write unique content that people will talk about, then tell them about it (forums are a great place to start telling people), and you will get more traffic and more links to you

2. Pay someone to link to your website. You can buy directory submissions, or just buy plain old text links on high traffic, highly ranked websites. You'll get traffic and a boost in the SE placement.

Well...I dont have any budget for adwords and stuff. I'm trying to get links. But, I saw iBolds' sig. "Earn $6 for every 1000 visitors". Is it legit ? Well, is it ok to use Link-vault or traffic swarm ?

When you "buy traffic" you are wasting your money. These people they are sending to your site had no intention of visiting your site and couldn't care less about your content.
They are random people.

Just write very good content, That's what people want, so if you provide it they will come to read it, link to it and tell thier friends about it. It really is as simple as that.

It depends on your content, but you could use Digg and StumbleUpon to get a flying start.

Even though Digg is supposed to be a news site, more and more "cool sites" are added.

On rare occasions if your site has a complimentary aspect to it you can get some traffic by playing angles. Dumb example: you sell used cars, the next web site sells spare parts. If you convince the guy who sells spare parts to put a link on his home page to your site, you'll do the same for him. Sort of a web symbiotic relationship.

Worth a shot but it only works in certain cases...

Try google, yahoo, msn ads, you will get big traffic immediately, only if you have enough budget.

You could also post on a variety of forums related to your site. Personally, my traffic has jumped up significantly since I started and it would only take a few minutes per day. The trick is to post on forums that are related to your industry - posting on unrelated forums would be a waste of time. Just make sure that you have links in your signature for people to click on - it will also help you get indexed faster in search engines.

Also, consider writing some informative articles and submit them to article directories - even one a day will result in alot of extra free traffic over time. I guess what I am saying is spend some time every day promoting your site. You will see good results with a little work.

I am posting in relevant forums. Check out the "Latest blog post" under my avatar. I update everyday. But still no significant amount of traffic. Can u guys give my site a visit ? I guarantee that u'll find it interesting and useful. ;-)

It's very simple;

You're expecting too much.

It's a competitive arena with millions of pages on thousands of sites on the same subject and in Internet terms you are a nobody with no history (much like the vast majority of members here, myself included).
Having yet another webmaster blog among the hundreds of thousands of others isn't going to bring vast hordes of visitors to your site. No one has heard of you, you don't work for anyone major in the SEM world so why should anyone care what you think or bother to read what you write about.

It may take years for you to build a reputation where people will link to and drive visitors to your content naturally, and building the reputation is something that only you can do.
Stop expecting people to beat a path to your door (metaphorically speaking) and stop looking for quick fixes.

You need to wait and be persistent i have had my site for over a year and still i am not getting the traffic i desire.

I submit to article directory's, digg, submit links and everything else but it will be slow.

There is no such thing in any area of a quick fix it will take work and more work. I myself have asked this question for a quick traffic program and the rest Ive now learned to stop looking and concentrate on my site seo and its content.

Getting traffic takes time. You will need to get good quality back links. It also helps if you write articles and do some press releases.

I think you can try out Reciprocal Linking and put soe ads on google or a popular related site which you think can help in bringing traffic to you.

The way to get quick traffic is by purchasing it.

The only other way that you can get traffic is by increasing your link popularity and doing SEO. Also, to increase you traffic from all this, you have to have a catchy site that updates content on a daily basis so that you visitors will return. This helps to increase traffic in a big way.
