Hello,
I have a question:
Based on your experience, what is the best approach for buying IBL's? Would you spend your monthly budget on buying few IBL's but with high PR (7,8,9) or would you buy a larger volume but with a medium PR (4,5)?
Let's say that all the websites that you are buying IBL's from are relevenat to my website.

In the recent pubcon, all speakers including mr. cutts were nearly unanimous in pointing out that quality of links comes over quantity. This logic could also be applied to answer your query, even though PR aint that great an indicator of a page/site's quality.

I came up with this topic after I studied the competition in the field that I'm interested in: telecommunications. All the major competitors, that show in the top 10 in SERP's for some specific keywords, are using quantity over quality. They have lots of IBL's coming for not so relevant websites and with a low PR - 3,4. They do not have IBL's with a PR higher than 6 and in this category they have just couple of links.

I would do a fair balance of both. Links that are on high PR sites only, could indicate to their algorythm that they were bought

Hi, ABK! your observations of quantity overcoming quality in the sarch engine results on telecommunication is really interesting, I've done search on " quality Linux hosting" and found out that for top positions quality counts more than quantity. I'd go for fewer pages with a higher PR.
