I'm a webmaster(obvious) maintaining a site on SEO and Web promotion resources at www.webmaster-dome.com . All I want to know is, is it wise to broaden my site's niche and add a new category "Internet news" where I include interesting news and stuff. This field is updated everyday. So, posts everyday. Or, should I start a new site ?

I do not have a new domain right now. So, if I were to build a new site, which kinda URL is more search engine friendly ?
or
Some of my friends told me the 2nd one was more search engine friendly. What do you think ? Need some expert advice here !!

One of my friends told me that its a good idea to start a blog at blogger.com because I can get traffic fast (dont know how I would get more traffic if my blog was ported on blogger.com. Interestingly, I used to get a lotta traffic from blogger). I'm addicted to wordpress. What should I do ?

The first will be treated as its own site, the second as part of the big site.

That's why I would lean toward the second.

Mind you, it won't matter worth a **** if you do what everyone else does and carries the same news stories. Make sure you use it for something different.

I agree with Adam. I also think that adding "related content" is a good idea, but rather than news, maybe add seo tools that visitors can use for free...or add both.

But I heard from another forum that the 1st one is good for SEO as a whole. Is it true ?
