What exactly is the difference between using http://domain.com & http://www.domain.com? Both link to my home page (www.mygarter.com) but I see that they can be handled differently.
When I'm doing link exchanges which format should I use?
When I check for backlinks, I get different results for both.

As critic, if you setup your redirect properly, it doesn't make any difference. And you can also set in sitemap or htaccess files to include www or not.
