Hey guys!

Is it better for SEO if you update pages often?

Someone has told me that search engines may record the date of the file and will ignore pages that aren't updated often. If so, how often is likely to be often enough?

Any views on this?
Thnx!

Yes, I think it is like that. If you update pages often then there is a high chance of getting listed properly in the search engines.

It will be impossible to update pages regularly if a site has thousands of pages, So google aren't going to drop pages that are not updated.. I think what they mean it add new content.

I agree with you chris...it is good to have fresh contents to your site but that is if you need to and the content that you'll put is important and relevant not just because you have to put something to it...
