No it wont hurt you at all. You have no control over who links to you, so google aren't going to penalize you for it.

That is true. In fact, your site gain more popularity and the SE see that as will.

it does not matter in the slightest, a link is a link is a link. Related sites is for real visitors SE algos cannot work out what is related to what from a human being POV.

I believe that they can.
I am sure there are people out there who can explain it better than me but Google uses keywords to check the relevance of each page.

Hi,

Google's algos are really becoming very strong and yes they can locate the relevancy factor. But it is sure that there is nothing wrong with the incoming links. And you don't have to worry about it. One thing I can suggest is that you should look at your backlinks once in a month. And you find any thing bad you can request that webmaster to remove your link from their site. Its not necessary also. But is better to do so.

Thanks
Nancy

A few links like these shouldn't matter. This is something that
theoretically is looked as good - aka the whole point of natural
linking.

To Nancy,
That's simply speculation. There is absolutely no way that any kind of algorithm be it fuzzy logic, LSI or whatever can determine every aspect of what is relevant.

read http://www.webmaster-talk.com/the-go...tml#post233085

So you are saying that webasters should contact every scraper site that picks up a link to their site and have it removed ?????
Best of luck with that.
Who links to you cannot cause any harm to your site UNLESS the crappy links potentially outweigh any decent links you might have happened to get by chance in the stupid frenzy of "get links anywhere" that many so called webmasters choose to do.

i agree...once theres something interesting in your site and visitors found it they will link to you and they might let others know about it...and that will increase your link popularity...
