Well, I'm here with another question. This may be "lame" for some but I would really appreciate some help here. You see, I maintain a blog on Webmaster stuff at Webmaster-Dome.com. I've read in a whole lot of blogs that a strong "Internal Linking System" is necessary.

I donno if thats the buzz word but this is the idea. They say that you should link to your own posts when you make an article. Cross linking or whatever you call it, I've seen it in a lot of blogs and Improve The Web has a strong technique. But, I almost always goof up with this. It seems I never remember my previous posts. So, is there any good ideas to make it simpler or are there any plugins or something for wordpress ?

I tend to try to cross post where ever i can. Its good for search engines but especially good for users.
I also put posts which i think are extra helpful, Usually lists of resources, On every page.

I doubt you can get a plugin for it as it's just a case of linking to older articles when you write newer articles. If you write an article about linkbait and mention pagerank link to your article about pagerank in the article about linkbait.

Strong Internal Linking is simply giving more weight to the pages you want to see in serps and avoid giving weight to the pages that are not much important to be found in serps. For example, privacy policy, tos, contact (If it is non-converting), login etc. pages, You can "nofollow" them and more weight will be given to other pages.
And as far as blogs are concerned referring other posts in your posts is a good idea.

I do not think u need any IMO and I am simply not sure if there are any. You can simply "nofollow" not converting or unimportant links in "index.php" file. Also, if you want to give more weight to your popular posts use this plugin. This plugin will link the most popular posts of your blog from the homepage giving them more weight.

Hey there, this is called anchor text linking my friend. And in SEO it is very powerful! Its important that the anchor text you use links to another page in your website or blog that has text related to the anchor text. For instance a site of mine at www.sweet-blue.com/cancer/ is a good example, read through the pages and you will see every page has anchor text that links to more info about that anchor. It works wonders and create's internal links like crazy!

Hey, I'm a little confused about the "nofollow" stuff. I'm not that much knowledged in web programming and scripting. So, please tell what a "nofollow" link is !!

I know this may be a stupid question. But, I really would appreciate if someone can tell me the answer without embarassing me. lol.

And, choco, why link to high PR pages ? I thought getting backlinks from High PR pages helped. I usually link to low PR pages so that I can help out the poor guy. Good karma and feels good inside !

I can answer your questions friend!

For the nofollow check out http://www.askdavetaylor.com/google_...hats_that.html

As to pr links and such, I have done extensive testing on this. Basically if you get a link on a pr 5 or higher site it throws alot of weight for your site over your compo if they are only linked on pr 3. If you have 1000 pr 5 links but your compo has 100000 which are pr 3 they will still over take you as a combined weight effort.

Also could I pm you about some info you need for your seo blog. If your going to be a seo specialist you need to know these things.

"nofollow" attribute is an attribute which stops passage of link weight to the page linked. For example, if you link to contact page of your site using rel="nofollow" attribute then the link weight will not pass on that page. Example of link with "nofollow" link is as follows:-

Code:
 <a href="http://www.domain.com/contact.php" rel="nofollow">Contact</a>
You can do that to non-important pages which you do not want to be found on serps. No weight to these links will mean more weight to other important internal links and better rankings.
