Well I am tired today and I really can't be bothered working so I am going to tell you what I think about the search Engines and SEO in general.
Search Engine Optimisation is not simple but with a small amount of work you can start your SEO campaign and gain high rankings. Why do I need high rankings?
High rankings on the major search engines will bring high amounts of web traffic to your site. The amount of traffic will depend on your keywords
How much will #1 ranks cost?
Nothing. SEO can be done by yourself however if you don't know much or are competing for a highly competitive term you may want to get an expert to help. the price will vary on your search terms.
Which search engines are most popular?
Google is the major search engine but Yahoo and MSN are also popular
Ranking in the search engines for a highly competitive search term such as Search Engine Optimisation is almost impossible for anyone reading this. It is better to try rank for less competitive search terms such as SEO Blog, SEO company ect as there are less people trying to rank for these terms
Simple ways you can increase your rankings;- Link Building- This is probably the best way to get high rankings in the search engines. Google loves high page rank links pointing to your site. Generally the higher the page rank of the site the better the link is
- Article Submission- This is one of my favorite ways of getting incoming links to your site. The content of the article increases the value of the links slightly and the links are generally free.
- Link directories- Well what can I say... I suppose you get a link but they are not really that valuable. I feel that Google will soon change there ways and not include link directories when counting links and they may even ban directories from the search results
- Keywords- These are very very important. You will need to get these right to get the traffic you deserve. There is no point working hard to get a high rank on the search engines for a term that is not often used. Use a tool like this
- Tags- These are also important. There are a range of tags that should be used including; Title tags, H1, H2, H3 tags ect. To get best results place the tags in an order starting with the H1 tag then H2, H3 ect
My hands are hurting from typing now so that is all I am doing today
