RSS is really simple syndication. It's useful if your site changes a lot, like a blog.
XML is a data-transport language. And a site map is just some data outlining your site, what pages make it up, that Google accepts in XML format. I'm not sure this is necessary, if your pages can all be reached by links.
The least effort for the SEO process is probably directory submission. Find as many directories as you can, ideally ones that are related to your site, and add yourself. Honestly, though, I don't think there's much payoff this way, at least in my experience.
Basically you want as many links pointed at your site as possible. Except that the quality of each page pointing at you is more important than the number of them. And the more aligned they are with the theme of your site, the better.
