I just found this incredible site, and after saying "this is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen" for ten minutes, I emailed the URL to a bunch of friends, then added it to my links page.

Not as responsive as Google Earth, but it puts things into an incredible perspective. I want to take photos like this.

So link building campaigns are great, but in the end having something unique and compelling to differentiate you from the other hundred million web site is the best way to attract visitors.

The images are really good but it comes no where near to Google earth. It has its own distinctiveness which will make it stand out I must say.
Anything unique and different from others is bound to attract visitors as well as potential customers.

I agree, that is why sites like you tube and the grandfather Google itself worked. It was new fresh and ready for the next generation.

Well, I think its good but not the best map you can get. But, I wish Google Earth had an online version or it worked in linux. I don't know if it would. Would it ?

absolutely - visitors must be convinced before converting.
targetted traffic + quality content + unique idea = real success

Forrest you just discovered the secret to marketing. First have something worth talking about and then watch how much easier it is to market it than if you had something not worth talking about.

When you see some of us here talking about creating good content that's what it's all about. If you have something on your site that makes people want to link to it and you give it a little push then people will start linking to it on their own and each link will send new people who also add links. It becomes self-reinforcing.

Unfortunately there are many members whose raison d'etre seems to be to post as much as possible while saying nothing of any use, simply to either increase their post count and/or gain signature links.
