What Should I Expect ?

Well, this is a very stupid question. But, I think some of you guys may have the answer to this. So, I decided to post this no matter what.
So, here's the catch. I maintain a blog on SEO, Blogging and Web 2.0. My blog is almost 6 months old. And, I get only some 100 visitors a week. Is this a good sign ? I mean, should I get more by this time ?
I want to know if my efforts were enough. I mean, if this isn't what I should get in 6 months, I should work harder. So, please help me.

It depends. If you write the blog because you enjoy it then it doesn't matter. If you write the blog to create income then you should be aiming higher than 15 visitors a day.

It's pretty hard to make money with 15 visitors a day. I would suggest starting a couple of other blogs about things that interest you.
There's no real secret. I generally put the adverts where people can see them and forget about them. If i didn't have the adsense notifier plugin for firefox i probably wouldn't even check my adsense income until my bank statement came.
Note: If you don't make that much from adsense having the AdSense notifier could make you suicidal.

IMO, it depends on your purpose. why did you created it? as stox said, if it is for personal use, you created it just because you enjoy having a blog or you just wanted to have one, then it's fine to have only 100 visitors per week. no big deal with that, unless you want more visitors for your blog.
but if it is for profit sake. 100 visitors per week is very low. you must improve that to gain a good income

I get as many as 25 visitors a day, so I'm in the same boat. I created my blog because I wanted to have a place to connect a lot of random thoughts, so it's not a problem, but I would like more.

So far this month I've had 10,395 visits; my site is about nine months old.
I most have photos on my site, with a little bit of information on how I created each one, plus some articles on photography technique and a bit of freeware. So my target audience is a lot larger than yours; SEO applies to people with web sites, who care how they rank. ( You'd be surprised how many people buy a hosting account, and then wonder why they aren't suddenly #1 in Google. ) In other words, you have to work a lot harder than I do to get visitors, so while your numbers are less, each guest is more of an accomplishment on your part.

I think 100 visitors a week is a good sign for your blog. I suggest that you promote your site if your aiming for a lot of visitors, get more backlinks or make money for your blog

Your blog seems to be down - I tried to click your latest post, and my browser timed out three times in a row. That's probably why you're getting so few visitors!

I good way to increase traffic to your blog is to use digg to post to your blog

Hey dougadam, that is pretty good advice, sites like digg, stumbleupon and del.icio.us direct traffic to other websites by having buddys on those websites.
In my expirience though, another great way to get loads of traffic is to have a idea that no one has ever thought of that people do want!

Oh **** !! I missed this discussion too. Well, I was on a vacation trip to a place nearby (not that near). So, I wasn't able to keep in track of the discussions. I feel guilty since I started the discussion. Would you guys forgive me ?
Anyway, I maintain the site for both the purposes. I'm really interested in the topic. I'm equally interested to earn some money from it since I need some pocket money. But, I'm not one of those bloggers who are expecting income anywhere near to Darren or John Chow. Just some $100 per month would be a delight for me.
I'm trying to find some ways to increase traffic and not to earn money because first things first. I'm collecting all the posts I can get about traffic and link building. I got almost 32 articles and resources already and Chris, thank you so much for that thread about harnessing the power of digg. Its a really nice article.
P.S : My site was down for the last 2 days, John. It was due to a DDOS attack to my server.

We've been "digging" our articles for a few weeks now, and it's really done us no good at all. We get 7 or 8 diggs, and then off into oblivion. It's really not seeming worth it.

Digg, well, is all about the community. Even if the "Top list" is gone, people at Digg still subscribe to top users. And, as from experience, it is said that the no.of diggs a new story gets is directly related to how successful the previous stories were.
Users who've got their story to the frontpage would it find it easy to get one on the top page. But, its really tough to get something to the front page. Even if we submit according to Digg's demographics, its not easy.

If you don't mind me asking, how could you have 6k traffic per month with no income? Do you mind posting a URL?
The first question that comes to my mind is Adsense! Do you use it?

Well. Sometimes, Adsense won't pay much. I mean, may be his traffic is tech-savvy and may be the ad has low bids. So, he gets low money on hits too. It would be nice if he can post a link to his site here.
