I've been building up a network of blogs over the past few months and have a set of procedures that I use to gain traffic and improve my google rank.

Mostly, I take care of all my on-page SEO (meta tags, h1, h2 and all that) then concentrate on all the off-page SEO that really brings in the traffic, such as:

Submitting to Directories

Submitting articles

Starting a relevant Link Campaign

and, of course, writing unique and relevant content

Beyond that, there's not much else I do. What is it that all of you do to improve your rankings for you websites?

have you try bookmarking? and here forum posting with the attachment of your signature.

I've never tried any type of social bookmarking for any of my blogs. Have you had much success with that?

I have done social bookmarking on a few of the websites I currently have up..I am just wondering how you can get digg's or stumble's without promoting them and getting your account banned...o_o

Maybe you should look at your own signature, kennyk3...unless of course, it's a "master resell rights" pile of recycled forum monkey crap that people love to tout as The Right Path.

Well, people on Digg love macs and linux, and hate windows. People on Stumble love photos and political humor. So, first you write up some content that's geared to be popular with one of the groups, then you wait for someone else to submit the page for you.

I learned what Stumble is when I saw them showing up in my referral logs.

To gain traffic and rank better in google is get more backlinks for the site. Have you tried to participate in the forum with your signature, blog creation, blog directories and feeds , press and social bookmarking

Improve your site's link popularity...use your targeted keywords as your anchor text that might help you on having a better rankings on such keywords...

The site that is number 1 is actually my brand new website <link drop removed> this website is brand new but I must reveal that someone has already writter an article about it without me knowing lol...I will link you all to this article as it is a funny read..lmao.

Link building is still the strongest method to gain pagerank. Try to exchange links with related sites.

Nothing new or spectacular. All new sites rank very highly in google for a few days. It will be gone into the Google oblivion shortly.

No it won't! It will inevitably be penalized unfairly, usually the leprechaunish Google -950 penalty. Random emotional complaining will follow, combined with the syncophantic agreement of lemmings and numerous attempts in vain to point out the obvious flaws in the site and the spammy efforts the owner makes to promote it.

But it won't be gone into oblivion.

I think it's funny you would say that when my webpage has only been going up on google.

I am now also # 2 for Content Creation Forum Number 1 For Webmaster contest and number 6 for Webmaster Related Contest.

My ranking was # 4 for Content Creation Forum. But in the past few days it has moved up to number 2 right under digital point. Due to this my webpage has been getting more random Google traffic. The site is about 2 weeks old and it's ranking on Google has only gotten bettter.

Don't feel bad though, some people just don't know how to do SEO so their website would reach these ranks on Google. But since I was taught by SEO consultant I do.

Vasity please stop telling us in every post how you're ranking. The first time I saw you mention it I was happy to reply and offer my thoughts, but tonight I've been here a half hour and have see you bragging on your ranking 3 or 4 times already.

I'm happy that you've managed to rank well for a phrase or two or three, but understand those aren't very competitive terms and it wouldn't be all that difficult to outrank you for those terms.

I'm not trying to knock what you've accomplished. But I really don't need to read about it in every post and you don't need to drop a link back to your site in every post.
