This page is not coming up as a result, only the directory.

I keep doing a search for Kumo Sushi +newsfornow to see my article come up. It comes up but there's no direct link to that page and I've submitted my site to the search engines a few times.

The page is here:

In the page's meta tags I have kumo sushi as well. So I don't see why it's not getting a direct spidered link.. anyone care to give some info as to why only the main site and subdirectory which is linking to the link is coming up in google and not the page itself?

It hasn't been crawled yet. Give it a few days assuming the rest of your site is getting crawled.

It would help if you put in the mandatory <!DOCTYPE Declaration> at the beginning of your site too.

Thanks Adam, well, I thought it had gotten crawled seeing as it got the main newsfornow.com and the subdirectory pointing to that page.. does it take an additional week or two before the page itself is put in there directly?

Absolutely - you can read up on it, and place the correct Doctype Declaration from here

Some pages of your site have been crawled. Your entire site doesn't get crawled and indexed in one shot.

Give it time. That's the only answer I can give you.

Mind you...what TA said is a good idea too. It's always good to have cleaned up code.
