explain in detail something that has been made up by the SEO "experts"???
Why would we do that?

As usual it's something that is totally mis-understood by the majority of the so called SEOs.

Proximity simply means how close words are together on a page, and the "experts" always proclaim that search engines will rank a page higher if the "keywords" are used together.

So just to prove a point, here's one query that proves them wrong
rabbit food, for me the top result is a page that NEVER uses both words together.

And if that didn't make sense, imagine certain "experts" are the king and queen of Spain, and Chris Hirst instead is Chris Columbus. He's trying to tell these experts the world is round, and they don't believe him.

Keyword proximity and the keyword density within your Website can make or break your search engine optimizationefforts.

Keyword proximity considerations should include the proximity of keyword or keyword phrases to other keyword occurrences within the page, as well as the top of the page. After all, the top of the page usually tells you what you are there to read about.

How do you figure? It seems like the whole point of understanding quotes in searches means that whether keywords appear next to each other or not is only important when you search for "a key phrase."

No it won't.

Do you honestly believe this recycled & ancient "advice"? Or is it that you and your TVAddicts buddy (below your post) just HAVE to post some answer in threads simply to increase your post count?

I have yet to see either of you post something unique or something that you have tested yourselves.
One day you are going to see through all the mis-information that is around and start to look at the evidence that is in front of your own eyes.
And when that happens you won't be needing to post repeated "link exchange requests" .
