For anybody reading this, a good rule of thumb is any link you have to pay for isn't a quality link. There are a few exceptions, but that's what makes it a rule.

Hmmm. I don't have a lot of VC to be playing with anyway.

Try Jason Calacanis. That guy is an SEO's best friend, and I'm sure he'd be more than willing to invest in whatever ~~idiotic half-assed scheme that is destined to fail~~ well-thought out business plan you've come up with.
