SEO Software does not work. It does nothing to analyze search engine traffic, it does nothing to explain where your traffic is coming from, it does nothing to promote your site other than to spam a whole bunch of people.

SEO software is garbage. Period.

It's a lot more important to get links on sites that are regularly spidered. The engines will find you quickly enough.

Google states in their webmaster guidelines to not use submission software.
The safest and the best way to do it is to submit manually.

you want submission to SE's then I will do you one free with my IBP9 software, but for SEO learning and like the others said using your brain is better, once you know it then its like riding a bike and you will do it automatic

Just so it's clear, you never have to submit anything to any search engine. They find you on their own. That's the whole idea behind search.

I agree, you should not use a submission software, it doesn’t do any good to your Site, Search Engines hate automated process. You can use an SEO Software as a support tool of your SEO strategies. If you are an SEO Beginner it can be of some help, helping you to check optimized pages, check rankings, giving you stats, but I wouldn't rely my SEO strategies on an SEO software. I do use it as a tool to get information; I personally use an SEO software that has facilitated me the process

Has anyone used WebPosition Pro since it was aquired by WebTrends? How about Trellian's SubmitWolf and how do they compare to these two?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated

I try not to use any submission software, because I am not sure whether do they really work.

According to Google, Yahoo and MSN. You do not need to submit your url, as they will find you. Still they offer a page where you can submit manually your url link (root).

What is more important is the submission of sitemap for Google and Yahoo.
