OK I have this website that it is not a website perse, it's a forum with a domain, something very simple and straight forward. I have submitted my site in hundreds of website indexes, spammed all over similar websites, posted ads on craigslist and I'm not receiving the traffic I thought it should... considering how many hours I have spent....

Even though I have submitted my url numerous times it does not come up in google or any where. What else can be done??? what I'm I doing wrong??

How can I make every page searchable on google like other forums??

Well, if you weren't kidding when you say you "spammed all over similar websites" that would explain no traffic. People hate spam, and people have a long memory for things they don't like.

I'd have to somewhat disagree about Craigslist; it doesn't have to be the kiss of death. I've posted a few ads there, to the local version, creative services section saying anyone who needs a portrait shot should get in touch with me. It lead to enough canceled appointments that I don't advertise there anymore, but it didn't kill my site, just wasted my time.

On the other hand, it's been in the news lately about police arresting a lot of prostitutes and "Johns" through Craigslist lately. That's just not something I'd want to be associated with in any way.

apparently it is listed but the description is not what I had submitted... and it is definitely not in the first results.

How can I change this? how can I make all my pages searchable? the only one listed is the index. and how can I get my page to appear within the first results?

Well obviosuly you are not submitting the right type of link for one, for two you should never saying that you are spamming as it is an unfriendly term no matter where you are talking about, and technically your not spamming so to say, you are link building unless you just post random things that don't make sense with your links inside of them.

"ANCHOR TEXT" = www.google.com = Soultion to your problems.

Tackle more then one keyword at a time for optimum traffic. And define what number is "tons" because I have "tons" of back links...just from some sources up to 1,600 back links, but in no way do I spam.

I think I expressed myself incorrectly being the noob that I am when it comes to being a webmaster. When I said I spammed all over What I meant was that I had created a couple of accounts in similar websites and under each signature I had either a banner linking back to my web or a text link.

Could you please explain me more in detail what Achor text is? is that a code that I'm supposed to paste in my html?

and why do you say I submitted the incorrect link in google?

I type add url on googles search engine and the submitted "http://www.guitar-chat.com" is that what is wrong?

Anchor text here is an example of how you would put it in your signature, make sure to make it a keyword when you do so for that specific website

Ok this is the code, do not use the xxx xxx anywhere, as that was put there so you could actually usee the anchor text code you have to put inside of your signature, The Keyword notice on this one is SEO and SEM, will be displayed instead of the normal vision of your link and it will be used to help move you up for that specific keyword on the google search engine, as well as many others. Putting a regular link will only get you, regular people who are intrested on that site to go. as well as PR but not traffic you need to try to get search phrases through putting out anchor text with a keyword that is relative for your site : Arcade = Realone Arcade(highest paying arcade keyword) Content site : niche' specfic Guitar site: Guitar Players, Guitar Types, Guitar Music or more I am not 100% with that u should use overture to find keywords for guitar. I hope this helps.

Your forum doesn't bring anything to the plate. You still have up the default phpbb template, and there isn't any real content to offer to your viewers, aside from joining and posting at the forum.

Work on setting up an appealing design, and add some content that will relate to your website (guitars?).
