Hi!!

I have read the above thread completely and i am agree too with all of them.
But i would like to suggest that before going to proceed with all the above activities mentioned by the various members of this forum Analyse your Site Completely.
I mean to say that all the activities Mentioned above are Off Page Optimization Tips.
But If your site is not optimized perfectly with ON Page then OFF Page work is nutt.
So Firslty try Perform ON Page Optimization Tips Completely and then go for OFF Page.

These actions are Required For your Site:
1. Put your most Competitive Keyword in Title Of Page make sure Length of Tilte Shloud not Exceed 80 chars Including space.
2. Remove Outbound link from home and take them to some other oage of your site and provide proper navigation.
3. Alt Tag Optimization.
4. Optimize robot.txt,info.txt,urllist.txtand sitemap.xml

I think this will help you alon with the rest of the OFF page activities.

Must be difficult to get 4 items that are all wrong into one list!!!

1/ Put the words or phrases the title that the page is optimised for, but the length in characters is not important.
More than 10 words sometimes means the 11th may not help.

2/ As Search Engines rank PAGES not sites even your own navigation is an outbound link from the page it is on.

3/ No such thing as an alt tag so it can't be "optimised"

4/ How can you "optimise" robots.txt when it is there to keep bots OUT of the pages
no idea what info.txt is supposed to be and a sitemap has NOTHING to do with optimising (it's about crawling)
