I have a question about finding backlinks in a large website, such as a directory.

I'm trying to confirm my backlinks, some of which are located in directories with hundreds of entries. Is there a desktop program that allows you to search a specific website for your backlink?

I've tried all the free online backlink checkers but they only come up with backlinks that are listed by the search engines. Others only work if you enter the specific page where your link is located. (If I knew that I wouldn't need the program).

It's such a simple and basic thing, I can't believe there is no such program around that lets you search a website for your URL.

Can anyone help me out here? Thanks

I have used WebCeo and I will have to say it Rocks for checking your backlinks.

I use the professional edition but they do have a free edition that you can try out. I know that SEO software is looked down on by some but the things that I use it for can save a bunch of time like:

backlink text analyzer: You can find out who links to you and exactly what the text link from that site states. This service alone is worth the money.

rank checker: you can check rank for specific keywords on specific SEs. you could do that manually but I can do a large list of keywords and search many SEs very quickly.

optimization check: this can point out some things that you may have just forgotten about that you could do on-page to help rankings for specific keywords. It can also be a great learning tool for the new SEO person

There are others that may be better but I only have experience with webceo and I think it does a good job.

if you want to see your backlinks in yahoo type this

link:http.www.example.com

and it will lists all of your backlinks

same with google

That type of search doesn't show all of your backlinks though, I use backlinkwatch.com

Backlinkwatch is very slow....and submitexpress is not that reliable, IMO....try what francesca suggested, use it on google and use this on yahoo:
linkdomain:www.yourdomain.com -site:www.yourdomain.com

write link:www.abc.comin the google search
It will show backlinks of your site
and there is various tools ,you can also find it from there

How can I find a backlink to my site ON another site NOT How can I find any backlinks to my site.
