Well as we all know in order to get a website submitted in any major search directory it takes time,at least 5-6 weeks.But then all submissions aren't approved.So I thought of another way.Say I have a website that i would prefer submitting in a business category.I browse through the category and start a link exchange with a couple of sites that already has been approved by the directory.Will this method enable me to get my website submission confirmed sooner??

I'm not really sure what you mean by major search directory. Could you give an example of one? I'm not sure if you really mean a directory or if you're talking about getting indexed by a search engine. Two different things and I would give a different answer depending on which one you mean.

for me it's still better if you do the submission without reciprocal link.. lots of directories allow one way link.

Are you talking about search engines, which don't require submission, or directories, which do?

Maybe he's asking about Yahoo's directory? The question still doesn't really make sense, though...
